Art and Design

Pupils are taught to:
  • produce creative work, exploring their ideas and recording their experiences
  • become proficient in drawing, painting, sculpture and other art, craft and design techniques
  • evaluate and analyse creative works using the language of art, craft and design
  • know about artists, craft makers and designers.

Pupils use a sketch book to record their ideas and observations and to review and revisit their work.  They experience a range of art and design techniques, including drawing, painting and sculpture with a range of materials including: pencil, charcoal, paint, clay.
Pupils art and design work is displayed around the school.

This year we are very lucky to be able to have a classroom dedicated to Art. The children will be able to complete their Art projects in this room and display their work.

This year Mrs Mills will be running an after school Art club on a Monday.
