The Governing Body of St Budeaux CofE (Aided) Foundation School meets formally a minimum of six times a year. The governors are responsible for setting the strategic framework of the school and monitoring its implementation. It acts as a 'critical friend' by holding the Headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils. The Governing Body also oversees the finances of the school; making sure money is well spent.
If you would like to contact the governors for any reason, either ring the school office or email admin@sbfs.plymouth.sch.uk

Mrs Selina Day Chair of Governors | Selina is an Exeter Diocese appointed Foundation governor and Chair of Governors. I am a lecturer at Marjon university and study within the Institute of Education. I am a qualified primary school teacher, and I am currently studying my PhD in how children's literature can help develop discussion of controversial issues in Religious Education lessons.
I became a governor as I would like to continue to support within a primary school and would love to work with a team to help improve the lives of the children, the school and local community. I am also interested in gaining more knowledge about the workings of the school outside of the classroom an area of school life.
