St. Budeaux CE Primary Academy is a Church school providing an education and a service for our whole community. We follow the Understanding Christianity units of work, as well as using the Plymouth Agreed Syllabus for RE.  Our children learn about Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism and non-religious world views, such as Humanism.  When we are able to, we visit places of worship such as St Budeaux church and the synagogue.
We seek to show how peoples of faith have a common bond and how understanding and respect for the diverse beliefs within our country can help to create a stronger society.

Parents have the right to withdraw their children from religious education and should contact the Head of School to ask for this. Parents will be invited to a meeting to discuss withdrawal and to explore how their concern may be met. Parents are not obliged to attend such a meeting in which case withdrawal shall be put into effect immediately and the school will notify the parent.
